Driver block →Golf shops hand out single numbers. Carry 268. Spin 2,640. Launch 13.1. Those numbers arrive with no indication of how far they might be off, which instrument produced them, or whether they would survive a move outdoors. We built this studio to close that gap: every figure on a Launch Spec Fit card is reported with the spread we actually measured, and every indoor reading is tied to a marked turf lane we re-shoot four times a year.
None of these are exotic. They happen in competent shops run by people who genuinely want to help, because the failure is in the reporting convention rather than the effort. Once you know what to look for, they are easy to spot from the outside.
The sample is too small to mean anything. Five swings with each of four shafts feels like a fair test and is not. Shot-to-shot variation in carry for a mid-handicap player often runs wider than the difference between the shafts being compared, so whichever option happened to catch the best contact wins on paper.
The instrument is treated as neutral. A doppler unit and a camera unit answer different questions, and each infers what it cannot see directly. Reading their outputs as though they were the same measurement produces confident conclusions built on the wrong column.
Indoor numbers are quoted as if they were outdoor results. Every enclosed bay models the second half of the ball flight. That model is usually reasonable and it is never the same as watching the ball land. Quoting a simulated carry without saying so is how a golfer ends up with a club that is two yards long in the room and eight yards short in a north wind.

Each category has its own capture routine, its own acceptance rule, and its own list of things an indoor bay genuinely cannot answer. They are priced and scheduled separately for that reason.

Driver block →A set is one instrument, not eight purchases. We map the gaps first, then decide whether the problem is heads, shafts, or lie angles drifting through the set.
Iron block →Tested off the mat and confirmed on grass, because a tee shot hides every fault a fairway wood can have with turf contact.
Fairway wood block →Starts from the yardage hole, not the shelf. Sometimes the answer is a hybrid, sometimes a driving iron, occasionally a shorter fairway wood.
Hybrid block →Four shots, four jobs. Bounce and grind are chosen against Oklahoma turf and the sand in the bunkers you actually play, not against a printed chart.
Wedge block →Run on the roll rig rather than the launch monitor, because pointing a ball-flight instrument at a putt measures almost nothing that matters.
Putter block →Improvising a fitting produces a session that feels responsive and generates data nobody can compare to anything later. The sequence below is fixed so two visits six months apart can be laid next to each other and read honestly.

Full capture with what you already own, warmed up properly. Without this there is nothing to compare a recommendation against.
Head, then shaft, then length, then loft or lie. Alternated against the baseline rather than hit in blocks, which keeps fatigue from being read as a component effect.
The winning configuration is captured again from scratch. If it cannot repeat the result that earned it the recommendation, it does not get recommended.
Every column, every band, every discard. Questions get answered at the desk rather than in a follow-up email a week later.
We hold no brand quotas and take no volume rebates, so what hangs on the wall is chosen for the range it covers rather than the margin it carries.
We do not ask how the session felt. We ask what the clubs did once they had been out on a course a few times, which is a much harder question and a more useful answer.
What sold me was the discard list. Three of my swings got thrown out and they told me exactly why, which meant the other seventeen actually meant something. Nobody had ever shown me that page before.
My gaps between the six and the eight were nine yards apart on one side and twenty-two on the other. Two lie bends and one shaft change later they are within four yards of each other all the way down.
I went in expecting to be sold a driver and left being told my current one was fine and my three-wood was the problem. That is not a sales pitch, and it is why I sent two people from my Saturday group.
